Whether you're replacing a broken door handle, upgrading to premium hardware for a renovation, or specifying across a full new build — Lockmart stocks the widest range of door handles available online in Australia, backed by a team of qualified locksmiths who can help you get it right.
We're not just an online store. With four locations across Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula and over 60 years of locksmith expertise behind us, we know door hardware inside out. That means better advice, fewer ordering mistakes, and hardware that actually fits your door.
Replacing a Broken or Worn Door Handle?
This is one of the most common reasons people come to us — and it's also where we add the most value. Getting a replacement door handle right means matching your backset (the distance from the door edge to the centre of the hole), your door thickness, and your existing rose or backplate style.
Not sure what you need? Email us a photo of your existing handle and door at sales@lockmart.com.au — our locksmiths will identify exactly what you need and point you to the right product. No guesswork, no returns.
Our Door Handle Brands
We're official stockists of Australia's best architectural hardware brands. Here's a quick guide to help you choose:
Iver — Our most popular premium range. Solid forged brass construction, fire-rated to AS1530.4:2014, and available in over 9 finishes from Matt Black to Signature Brass. Iver suits renovators and builders who want hardware that feels as good as it looks. Available as individual levers or as complete door kits with all fittings included. Shop Iver →
Gainsborough — A household name in Australian door hardware for good reason. Gainsborough offers reliable, well-priced lever sets suited to everyday residential use. Their Avant range in particular is a go-to for volume builders and rental properties where quality and value both matter.
Tradco — The brand of choice for period homes, heritage renovations, and restoration projects. Tradco's solid brass and cast iron designs are faithful to traditional Australian architectural styles — Federation, Victorian, Edwardian — and are made to last generations.
Zanda — Zanda sits in the mid-to-premium range with a strong focus on contemporary and commercial architecture. Clean lines, durable finishes, and a broad range of functions including passage, privacy, entrance, and accessible hardware.
Nidus — A newer brand making waves in the architectural hardware space with their Mediterranean-inspired designs. Nidus is popular with interior designers and custom home builders looking for something distinctive. Their Domici and Marino levers are among our fastest-moving products.
N2Lok — Specialists in entrance sets and mortice lock solutions. N2Lok's Maison range is particularly well-regarded for front door applications where security and aesthetics need to work together.
Lockwood — Australia's most recognised security hardware brand. If you need a door handle with an integrated locking function, or you're matching existing Lockwood hardware throughout a property, this is your range.
How to Choose the Right Door Handle
If you're not sure where to start, here's how our locksmiths think about it:
Function first. Do you need passage (no lock), privacy (internal lock, like a bathroom), or entrance (keyed lock)? Getting this wrong is the most common mistake — and it means the handle won't do what you need it to.
Measure your backset. Australian doors typically use a 60mm or 70mm backset. Check your existing latch or measure from the door edge to the centre of the hole before ordering.
Match your finish across the room. Door handles are one of the most touched objects in your home — mismatched finishes across handles, hinges, and door stops stand out. We can help you co-ordinate across brands if needed.
Consider a complete kit. Brands like Iver and Nidus offer complete door kits that include the lever pair, latch, faceplate, striker, spindles, and fixings — everything in one box. For renovators fitting multiple doors, this saves time and ensures nothing is missing.
