How to order

Metlam hinges are sold individually. Choose the finish, then the handing and hold function (Left or Right Hand, Hold Open or Hold Closed), then the fixing type. Order three hinges per door. Spacers for 18mm and 33mm partitions are available separately. Ask us if you need them.

Are these hinges sold individually?

Yes, the price is for one hinge. Metlam recommends three hinges per cubicle door to stop the door bowing, so order three per door unless your partition supplier specifies otherwise.

What is the difference between Hold Open and Hold Closed?

Hold Open hinges move the door towards the open position when the cubicle is vacant, so users can see it is free. Hold Closed hinges move the door towards the closed position for a neater look when the cubicle is not in use. Choose one function and use it on every hinge on the door.

How do I work out Left Hand or Right Hand?

Stand in front of the door and look for the hinges. If they are visible on the right-hand side, you need Right Hand hinges; if they are on the left-hand side, you need Left Hand hinges. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will confirm before dispatch.

Will this suit thicker partitions?

The hinge suits 13mm material. Metlam makes left and right hand spacers for 18mm and 33mm partitions. Contact us and we will add the correct spacers to your order.
