Description
Description
The 8105 is the cylinder-free alternative to the 8104. It uses an interior snib to lock the door, while the exterior face is a plain plate with no keyhole. No euro cylinder is required, which makes it simpler to install and a cost-effective choice for doors that need locking from inside only - such as garage-to-house sliding doors, internal sliding doors between zones, or patio doors where inside-only locking is sufficient.
Like the 8104, it includes a self-adhesive EPDM weather seal on the exterior pull and a through-door fixing system, making it genuinely suitable for exterior sliding door exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the 8105 and the 8104? The 8104 accepts a euro cylinder for key-locking from both sides. The 8105 has a snib on the interior and a blank plate on the exterior — no cylinder needed, no key access from outside. Choose the 8104 if you need to lock the door with a key from outside; choose the 8105 if inside-only locking is sufficient.
What backset does the 8105 use? The 8105 uses a fixed 50mm backset. Unlike the 8104 which ships with both 35mm and 50–55mm backset options, the 8105 is 50mm only.
Is it suitable for exterior use? Yes. The exterior pull includes a self-adhesive EPDM weather seal and a through-door fixing system, making it appropriate for patio and external sliding door applications.
