McGrath G3 Gateway - Ethernet PoE & USB-C

The McGrath G3 Gateway is a wired Ethernet bridge that connects compatible McGrath smart locks to your network, enabling full remote management through the McGrath Locks App. Once installed, you can lock and unlock doors, manage users, change PINs, and view audit trails from anywhere in the world.

Unlike Wi-Fi gateways, the G3 connects via RJ45 Ethernet only - it does not rely on Wi-Fi at all. One Ethernet cable provides both power (via PoE) and data, making it significantly more stable and reliable in commercial installations where Wi-Fi is restricted, congested, or controlled by IT infrastructure. It can also be powered via Type-C USB where PoE switching is not available.

What the G3 Gateway Does

McGrath smart locks communicate locally via Bluetooth. Without a gateway, remote access is not possible - the lock can only be operated from within Bluetooth range. The G3 bridges that gap by sitting on your network and relaying remote commands from the McGrath Locks App to the lock via Bluetooth. It does not store user credentials or perform locking functions independently - it acts purely as a secure communication bridge between your network and the lock.
