McGrath G5 Gateway

The McGrath G5 Gateway is the most advanced Wi-Fi gateway in the McGrath range. Connecting via both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, it delivers faster response times and more stable performance in busy network environments where 2.4GHz congestion can cause dropouts or latency. Powered by Type-C USB and supplied with a wall adaptor, it's compact, easy to install, and ready to use out of the box.

Once installed, the G5 bridges your McGrath smart locks to the McGrath Locks App - enabling full remote management from anywhere in the world. Lock and unlock doors, add or remove users, change PINs, and view audit trails, all from your phone.

What the G5 Gateway Does

McGrath smart locks communicate locally via Bluetooth. Without a gateway, remote access is not possible - the lock can only be operated from within Bluetooth range. The G5 sits on your Wi-Fi network and relays remote commands from the McGrath Locks App to the lock via Bluetooth. It does not store user credentials or perform locking functions independently - it acts as a secure communication bridge between your network and the lock.
